About

In 1976 Vittorio Mariani was one of the co-founders and partners of the Vallicelli & C. Yacht Design office based in Rome, Italy. Their portfolio contains large cruising yachts, Italian production boats and winning racers. Best known are the three America’s Cuppers “Azzurra” designed for the Italian challenger team in 1983 and 1987. In 24 years Vittorio participated in the design of around 200 projects.

Over the years yacht design has become more complex with large design teams and specialists working together. In 2000 Vittorio shifted his focus on project management, technical construction surveying and the coordination of design teams.
